Kyrra Richards

A native of Fremont California, Richards’ passion for the performing arts began at a very young age.  She took her first dance class at two years old and was showcased at the age of 11 on the popular talent show “Ed McMahon’s Star Search.”  Kyrra became heavily involved in competition dance and won various scholarships (LA DanceForce and the EDGE Performing Arts Center’s ‘Dance Camp in the High Sierras), national championships, and numerous ‘Outstanding Dancer’ titles.

In high school, Kyrra toured Japan as a performing arts ambassador and was selected to travel to China during her college years as well. Richards recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in World Arts And Cultures, focusing on artistic education for children in the US welfare system. The Rose Bowl field became her second home as the captain of the cheerleading/dance team.  And in her junior year, Richards was offered an opportunity to study dance and assistant teach at New York’s famous Broadway Dance Center.  In her senior year, she was hired for NBA promotions and has starred in Fox Sports commercials that have run for the last four years.

Since college, Kyrra has worked as a professional dancer, actress, and model in Los Angeles.  She has worked with Carmen Electra, ZZ Top, Tracy Morgan, BET, Spike TV, Fergie, David LaChappelle, Joseph Kahn, Thermasilk, Doritos, and Ford in music videos, commercials, print campaigns, and concerts.

Kyrra looks forward to pursuing her performance dreams for years to come and encourages her students to work hard and dance from the heart.
