The MNRDF Standard

We work with Clarity Co. Consulting, medical and infectious disease experts, to keep our studio clean and follow government health protocols. The plan builds upon MNR Dance Factory’s current high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety.

General Guidelines

  • Only students taking class during class time are allowed in the studio space. Friends and family members are not are allowed to hang out and watch.

  • Students must arrive 5-10 minutes before class to allow time to get temperature taken.

  • Students have a designated space for bags and personal belongings

  • No food is allowed in the studio

Protocols

We follow the latest protocols on the The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health website http://www.ph.lacounty.gov/media/Coronavirus/.

Cleaning and Sanitation

Cleaning
Protocols

In addition to existing continuous cleaning protocols, we will add a rigorous, deep-cleaning and disinfecting process three times during the day and once overnight. Designated areas of the studio will be sectioned off during the day to facilitate the deep cleaning. We will be increasing the size of our Maintenance team as well as asking all team members to support these rigorous cleaning protocols. Where possible, floors will not be cleaned by sweeping or other methods that can disperse pathogens into the air. Staff will use a vacuum with a HEPA filter wherever possible

Disinfection Procedures

Medical-grade, EPA-registered disinfectants which are designated effective against the COVID-19 virus with a kill time of less than one minute will be used for all continuous and deep-cleaning processes. We will also be introducing next generation electrostatic handheld and back-pack sprayers, for use by our Maintenance team, that efficiently attack microbes, providing 3x more coverage in the same amount of time than traditional efforts.

Modified
Hours

We will be adjusting our operating hours to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfecting overnight.

Sanitizer Stations

Hand Sanitizers

Everyone entering the studio will be asked to use hand sanitizer when entering and frequently throughout their visit. The hand sanitizer solution kills up to 99.9% of germs and includes 67% ethyl alcohol, above and beyond the CDC’s guidelines of 60%, with added Aloe vera and essential oils. Hand sanitizer will be available at new touchless stations throughout the studio.

Disinfectant Wipes

Dancers will be asked to use disinfectant wipes on equipment before and after use in addition to MNRDF’s cleaning protocols. Our disinfectant wipes, approved by the EPA for use against COVID-19 are proven to kill 99.99% of bacteria, viruses & fungi on equipment while having the safest EPA Toxicity Rating. Disinfectant wipes will be available throughout the studio.

UV-C Sanitizers

Dancers will be able to clean and disinfect their phones and personal devices in under 30 seconds using new touch-less, medical-grade UV-C sanitizers.

Studio “P” - Outdoor space

For select classes and events, we have an outdoor, tented space - Studio “P”, located in the parking area behind the building.

Health Checks

Health Declaration

Students and our teams will be required to complete a mandatory Health Declaration before each studio visit to confirm they are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, nor have they come in contact with someone who is experiencing symptoms.

Temperature Checks

Students and our teams will have body temperatures taken prior to entering the studio via touchless thermometers. Per CDC guidelines, individuals with a body temperature greater than 100.4 degrees, or local guidelines, will not be permitted entry into the studio.

Notifications

Students will be asked to alert the staff if they test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of their last studio visit. We will email notification to all potentially exposed persons if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 of someone who has been to the studio.

Limited Capacity

All classes will be booked in advance using online enrollment. This will help us determine a safe class capacity as directed by the The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Personal Protective Equipment (pPE)

Our staff is provided with face masks and gloves.

All patrons are required to wear cloth face coverings while at the facility. Patrons must be warned to only do exercises to the extent they can breathe comfortably while wearing a face covering over both their nose and mouth at all times. (Face masks or coverings with one-way valves are not permitted.)

Students will be provided with a plastic bag to store their face covering until vigorous training is complete. For convenience, members may purchase reusable antimicrobial masks at The MNRDF Shop.

Signage and Floor Markers

So dancers can give each other enough space, physical distancing cues are marked.
